Hi,

at least with libssh2-0.12 scp and sftp are equally performant, although
roughly 50% slower than OpenSSH command line tools (sync <-> async).

My only item in the wishlist for libssh2 for the last two years has been
an asynchronous transfer mode utlizing bandwidth to the maximum :-)
