Hi ,

When Try to execute the command gunzip on one of Sun os It is failing. If I
execute "which gunzip" remotly it is giving error like as follows.

no gunzip available in /usr/bin /bin /usr/sbin /sbin /opt/ssh/bin.

But the actual $PATH values are:

echo $PATH
----------
/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/ccs/bin:/usr/contrib/bin:/usr/contrib/Q4/bin:/opt/perl/bin:/opt/ipf/bin:/opt/hparray/bin:/opt/nettladm/bin:/opt/fcms/bin:/opt/sec_mgmt/bastille/bin:/opt/resmon/bin:/opt/gnome/bin:/opt/perf/bin:/usr/contrib/kwdb/bin:/opt/mozilla:/opt/wbem/bin:/opt/wbem/sbin:/opt/graphics/common/bin:/usr/bin/X11:/usr/contrib/bin/X11:/opt/mx/bin:/opt/prm/bin:/opt/sec_mgmt/spc/bin:/opt/upgrade/bin:/opt/wlm/bin:/usr/contrib/bin:/sbin:/home/root

If excute that same command remotly it giving the following O/P only.

/usr/bin /bin /usr/sbin /sbin /opt/ssh/bin.

can u plz give the deails about it.

Thanks

Bhanu
