Summary: Configure: Explicit path for libz is ignored
Initial Comment:
When trying to run
./configure --with-libz=/path/to/zlib
Configure is checking for libz... in
/usr/local
/usr
/usr/local/libz
/usr/libz
/usr/local/zlib
/usr/zlib
instead, but not in
/path/to/zlib
and exiting with the message
Cannot find libz's <zlib.h>
O/S: OpenSUSE 10.2 default

and the /path/to/zlib is to the root dir for the zlib install? If so, can
you extract and provide the suitable piece of config.log for the zlib
tests?
