Yep! I did another 'git pull' from the master repo and my patch showed
up just as I made it (with myself as author, and with the original
time), although with a commit id different from my original one - as I
expected from some local testing with another cloned repo. So what I
did after that pull was simply to switch to my local branch (where I
had my original patch), then I did a 'git rebase master' to get rid of
the duplication and all's fine. Way to go, at least for me. (Maybe
there is a way to post patches and get the original commit id, when
starting from the same point and with no merging needed, but I haven't
found one yet. But it's not particularly important - I just rebase if
needed.)
