 I don't see how _libssh2_socket_failed_error() is related to the memory
 leak fixes.

 No matter what the errno is, when the cleanup functions are called they
 should cleanup all memory and resources libssh2 has allocated and is
 responsible for.

 And I agree with Peter: please attach your patch so that we can try it out
 in our ends easier.
