I guess that's the issue - Jacob will most probably have tried to connect to a Mac OS X host, and Mac OS X's shhd configuration does not allow password authentication.

So, Jacob, you'll have to add interactive keyboard authentication to the example code first before you can successfully use it on Mac OS X.

The sftp.c and ssh2.c examples show how to do this.
