Did you review the patch?
It may not be obvious, but the patch contains a memory leak and may
have other problems. I guess this may be part of why it has not been
included in OpenSSH.

I find that to be a really obnoxious question, especially on the libssh2 list.
Further, it suggests that your only interest is consumption, which isn't a
useful attitude in and around community projects.

The OpenSSH patch is short, so this feature is an excellent candidate
for a developer wanting to learn how to work with the libssh2 code.
