Hello everybody.
While trying to compile libssh2 1.4.2 on Linux I am getting this error
message during configure:
checking for libssl... no
configure: error: cannot find OpenSSL or Libgcrypt,
try --with-libssl-prefix=PATH or --with-libgcrypt-prefix=PATH
While most hints and solutions on the internet mention that openssl-devel
should be installed I cannot since I built and installed openssl myself.
It resides in /ama/wh/bin/httpd-1447/openssl, and I inform the configure
script about it:
./configure --prefix=/ama/wh/bin/httpd-1447/libssh2 --with-openssl
--without-libgcrypt --with-libssl-prefix=/ama/wh/bin/httpd-1447/openssl
Still the error remains, and I am wondering what the script is actually
looking for. Could there be a bug as it might still try to find something
on the 'standard' path?
Thanks for any hint
